OCR: Information. The Akiko is a large many leged chip which is exculsive to the CD32. One of it's jobs is to interface with the CD drive handling data as it comes from the CD and distributing into memory. Another of it's features include the ability to handle chunky pixel graphic (P.C graphics) and covert them into Amiga bitplanes. This is very useful for game designers, improving games by far. This chip has over 150 pins (or legs) and 37,000 gates. Thats a lot! ! Some of it's function used to be delt with by the Angus and Denis chips.
